The Son of David Ruffin

David Ruffin Jr.
From YOUTUBE

Do you remember the great songs by David Ruffin of The Temptations. For those of you that do not know exactly who he is, he was the guy that sung, "My Girl", and "Ain't too Proud to Beg". The Legacy continues with David Ruffin Jr. He sings, "Lovely Day"by the Bill Withers. David is also very talented just like his father.

Donna Summer Heaven Knows

One of my favorite songs that Donna Summer did was Heaven Knows. I love the beat and the tune of it. The music is just great. I hate the fact that she has left us. It's not so sad when you listen to her cheerful music remembering her.

Put It Down - Featuring Chris Brown

Google Image
Brandy has a new single featuring Chris Brown titled, "Put It Down". I like the sound of it. I think it's nice. It's kind of a catchy tune to the ear. Sounds like a song fun to make in a recording studio. It's one of those kind of songs that stays in your head all day long.

Candi Staton - Stand by Your Man Remake

From YouTube
A singer by the name of Candi Staton made a nice remake in 1970 of Tammy Wynette's hit, Stand By Your Man. It is a faster version, and I still love it.

Victory (Album Version)

Victory is a gospel song by Yolanda Adams. It was featured in the movie, The Gospel. It is a single from 2005, but I love it. I have never heard a gospel song like this one. I love the lyrics, the music, and the voice of Yolanda. According to Wikipedia, Yolanda earned a gospel award for the song in 2007.

The Richmond Flood - Maggie Ingram

Youtube Image
Maggie Ingram tells her story about a Richmond Flood. With the Ingramettes, she sings her song:
It ain't nobody's fault but mine
Nobody's fault but mine
If I die and my soul is lost
Just ain't nobody's fault but mine.

I got a Bible to read
I got a Bible I can read
If I don't read it and my soul is lost
Just ain't nobody's fault but mine

Whitney Houston Was the Best

It is said that Whitney Houston was once booed in the past, and that she never really touched the black audience. That may or may not be true. When Whitney first came into the spotlight with her first album, I do not know anyone that did not love her sound. However, music does change from time to time with different generations. After Whitney, people wanted to hear Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige. Read more:
